Gardeners concern themselves about pH.
Swimming pool owners concern themselves about pH.
Aquarium owners concern themselves about pH.
Farmers concern themselves about pH.
How
about You?
Do you know that your health and longevity depend upon the
pH, or the
Acid Alkaline Balance of
your body.
Have
you ever noticed that it is almost impossible to grow grass
underneath a pine tree?
Below
is a partial pH color chart, which you can use along with
pH strips (available at hyproponic and swimming pool shops)
to test the pH of your body fluids. 7.0 is ideal, Too far
in either direction creates a chemical imbalance. In North
America, it has been estimated that a very large majority
of people have an acid imbalance due to the consumption of
Acid Forming Foods, such as most meats, grains, and dairy
products.
You
are what you eat and drink!
An average
ratio seems to be 25% Acid forming foods, and 75% Alkaline.
A list
of foods and their Acid or Alkaline rating is listed below

It
is important to understand that we are not talking about stomach
acid or the pH of the stomach. We are talking about the pH
of the body's fluids and tissues which is an entirely different
matter.

Again,
a food's acid or alkaline-forming tendency in the body has
nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself.
For
example, lemons are very acidic, however the end-products
they produce after digestion and assimilation are very alkaline
so lemons are alkaline-forming in the body.
Likewise,
meat will test alkaline before digestion but it leaves very
acidic residue in the body so, like nearly all animal products,
meat is very acid-forming. The above list and a very good
article on this subject comes courtesy of:
