Keeping Busy!

It is, in my opinion, very important that a person with Parkinson's Disease keep as busy as they can. They must keep as active both physically and mentally as they are able.
USE IT OR LOSE IT!

MY RULES FOR ME!
1) I never allow anyone to do something for me that I am able to do for myself.
The reason for this is simple. The longer I force myself to do everything I can, the longer I will be able to do them!
2) I never use the elevator, if I can walk up the stairs, unless I have a lot of parcels to carry.
3) When it is raining or snowing, I walk up and down the stairs, or use my "mini trampoline", because every day is an exercise day, physically and mentally.
USE IT OR LOSE IT!
4) I try to help someone every day, by searching for or by giving them information, on some health issue. This keeps me busy, so that I am not concentrating on my problems.
5) I understand that things take longer to do. Parkinson's has taught me patience with myself and others.

I realize that these rules are not for everyone,
They just Work 4 Me!
